Getting To the School__One of our goals this year, and moving forward, is to be as respectful to our neighbors and environment as possible by following a set of traffic patterns for pick-up and drop-off, and by utilizing alternative transportation, such as biking, walking, or carpooling, as often as possible.

Dropoffs are by class, from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, and likewise pickups are from 1:00 to 1:30 PM. We ask that you please follow the specific times and instructions outlined in the parent handbook and emailed to you individually. If you have questions, please contact the school by phone or email.

Walking or Biking__If you plan to walk or bike to school, the easiest way to access the school for most people is from the Freedom Park Trail. There is an easy access point to Seminole Avenue right off the trail about halfway between Moreland and North Highland (the school is just a couple hundred yards south from the path). Once you’ve turned off the Freedom Park Trail onto Seminole, make a left to stay on Seminole, and the school will be on the right. Bike and stroller parking will be located directly across from the entrance gate. Note: for the first week of school, our planned bike and stroller parking is currently unavailable due to construction. Please proceed through the wooden fence where you can park your bike or stroller near the playground.

Carpooling__On rainy days or if it’s not possible for you to walk or bike, we encourage you to find a Carpool Buddy with whom you can share the ride to school. We know the importance of walking your child(ren) to and from his/her classroom. This is a way for us to provide moral support to children unsure of school, interface with our children’s teachers, anf see the classroom space. Therefore, the Carpool Buddy isn’t just for kids, it can be for parents too. We encourage you to share the ride to school with someone who lives near you, either with or without both Carpool Buddy parents, especially on rainy days. Please reach out to the school office or PTC if you would like help finding a Carpool Buddy.

Driving__If driving to school, you will enter the school property via the gate across from Mansfield Ave. We recommend you enter via Mansfield Ave from Moreland Ave. When leaving school, you will exit from the gate located at the corner of Seminole Ave. and Sinclair Ave., turn right onto Sinclair, you can then turn right on either Colquitt Ave, Washita Ave, or Carmel Ave out to North Highland Ave.
